Kim's Gold began in 1997 as Kedai Emas Kim Heng - one small counter run by a family of goldsmiths who believed a piece of gold is only half the work. The other half is the person who shapes it, sizes it, and looks after it for the years that follow. Nearly three decades later, we still measure ourselves that way: not by how much we sell, but by how well the piece serves you afterwards.

From that one counter in Melaka, the shop has grown into three branches across Melaka and Johor, carried there almost entirely by word of mouth. Along the way we've kept the two things our customers keep coming back for - goldsmiths who work in-house, and staff who have the time to sit with you.

As a full-service goldsmith, we do far more than sell across the counter. Our craftsmen design custom pieces from a photo or a sketch, repair and resize what you already own, restore old gold to its shine, and value buy-back and trade-in gold openly in front of you. We keep a broad range of 916 gold - rings, bracelets, bangles, necklaces and earrings - alongside 999 investment bars and coins. Resizing, shortening, clasp repairs and polishing are all done here, not sent away. Resizing is free within 14 days of purchase.
